A New Telephone Workshop Series

Our Adult Workshop Series is a special time and place where adults (ages 18+) with a facial difference (congenital or acquired) can come together to learn, share and connect. These hour long teleconference sessions will be held monthly and moderated by adults who themselves have a facial difference. Our goal is to facilitate small group discussions to empower our adult members to participate fully in life.

Adult Seminar Series Objectives:

-Enhancing Life Skills
-Authentically Sharing Experiences & Group Discussions
-Networking With Other Adults Who Have A Facial Difference
-Sharing Information & Resources i.e. health care, counseling, community resources etc.
-Providing A Safe & Secure Environment To Discuss All Aspects Of Life
-Encouraging Self-Discovery & Personal Empowerment

Workshop Topics:

1. Introductory Session - This Overview Session is Mandatory
2. First Impressions - Making A Strong First Impression
3. Self Image - How You See Yourself & Building Self-Confidence
4. Dealing with Negative Situations - Coping In Public & Your Internal Self-Dialogue
5. Relationships - Family, Workplace, Romance & New People

How To Participate:

Workshops will be held on a rotating schedule throughout the year, approximately once a month. Numbers per session are limited, so you must register to secure your spot.
